Tetris, Faith, and the Dots of Life: Connecting the Good, the Bad, and the Holy

What’s up, Dot Connectors? Today, I’m sharing one of the most important revelations I’ve ever uncovered, and it’s rooted in something many of us have played at least once in our lives: Tetris. You may be wondering how this classic game can teach us about life, faith, and God’s work, but trust me—by the end of this article, the dots will connect.
This is about more than just a video game. It’s about understanding how God works in our lives, how we face challenges, and how we can overcome them. I’ll be breaking down Tetris into four sections: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the holy truth.
The Good: The Benefits of Tetris
At its core, Tetris is a game about connecting pieces, creating order, and progressing through levels. And believe it or not, science shows that playing Tetris has real-life benefits.
- Cognitive Development: Studies reveal that playing Tetris can increase your brain’s efficiency and even thicken the cortex. It trains you to store and process information quickly, which can improve memory and problem-solving skills.
- Organization Skills: The phenomenon known as the “Tetris Effect” shows how playing the game can influence your real-world habits. Many players report becoming more organized in their daily lives, even decluttering their homes with newfound efficiency.
- Addiction Recovery: Research published in The Addictive Behaviors Journal suggests that Tetris can reduce harmful cravings, including those for drugs and food, when played for just three minutes. It serves as a distraction and helps manage impulses.
In many ways, Tetris teaches us to create order out of chaos—a principle that echoes God’s work in our lives.
The Bad: The Drawbacks of Gaming
While Tetris has many benefits, it’s not without its downsides.
- Addiction: Like most video games, Tetris can be incredibly addicting. You can lose hours of your day playing it, which might take away from more meaningful activities. Video games release dopamine, a chemical in your brain’s reward center, and too much of it can reduce your motivation to tackle real-life goals.
- Time Management: Spending excessive time in front of a screen can hinder your progress in areas like career, relationships, or spiritual growth.
The key here is moderation. If you choose to play Tetris or any other game, set limits. Enjoy it, but don’t let it dominate your life.
The Ugly: The Occult Symbolism in Modern Tetris
Here’s where things get unsettling. The latest version of Tetris, called Tetris Effect, is filled with esoteric and occult symbolism.
- Dualism Symbolism: The game prominently features red and blue imagery, often used in occult practices to represent dualism.
- New Age Spirituality: The game depicts meditating figures with floating pyramids or diamonds, promoting New Age ideologies.
- Eye of Horus: The logo for Tetris Effect includes the Illuminati’s all-seeing eye, also known as the Eye of Horus.
- Zodiac Signs: Zodiac imagery is scattered throughout the game, further tying it to occult themes.
While the classic versions of Tetris are free of this imagery, the inclusion of these symbols in modern games reflects the current state of our world—a world increasingly embracing spiritual deception and distractions.
The Holy Truth: Faith and the Dots of Life
Now, let’s get to the most important part: the holy truth.
When you play Tetris, imagine each piece represents a different problem in your life:
- Red: Spiritual attacks
- Blue: Health problems
- Yellow: Stress and anxiety
- Purple: Fear
- Green: Financial struggles
- Turquoise: Mistakes and regrets
- Orange: Sins
Life often feels like a game of Tetris. Problems stack up, and when things are going well, it’s easy to become complacent. We forget to pray, to read our Bibles, and to rely on God. That’s when the enemy strikes hardest, using family, friends, and circumstances to pile on more stress and chaos.
But here’s the key: faith.
When we place our trust in God, He aligns the pieces of our lives in ways we can’t. He takes our stress, fears, and struggles and arranges them for our ultimate good. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Even when it feels like life is spinning out of control, God is still working. He’s placing the pieces where they need to go. All He asks is that we keep our faith and trust in Him.
When the Pieces Don’t Fit
But what happens when we lose faith? The pieces stop fitting. Problems pile up faster than we can handle, and life feels overwhelming. The enemy thrives in these moments, convincing us that our issues are too big for God.
But this is a lie. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
The enemy wants you to feel defeated, but God’s grace will always prevail. With faith, even when your life looks like a game about to end, God can connect the dots and give you victory when you least expect it.
The Challenge
If you feel like your life is spiraling out of control, I challenge you to build your faith through prayer, fasting, and studying God’s Word. Surrender your problems to the Most High and trust in His plan.
Remember, faith without works is dead. If you’re praying for a job, apply for it. If you’re praying for healing, take steps toward recovery. God works through both faith and action.
Final Thoughts: Connecting the Dots
Life is like Tetris. The pieces won’t always fall where you want them, but when you trust in God, He’ll ensure they land exactly where they need to be.
So, as I wrap up, I ask you: What dots in your life need connecting? What problems are you holding on to that you need to surrender to God?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Thank you for your time, love, and support. Keep your faith strong, and as always, give your life to Christ.
I’m Devin Worlds, and we are The Dot Connectors. God bless and peace.
